About the Project
The STENT-IN project focuses on identifying and strengthening the resources and potential of the Czech-Bavarian cross-border region. It also seeks to inspire and encourage students from participating universities to pursue entrepreneurship and contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
The quality of life in the Czech-Bavarian border region is closely linked to the opportunities the region offers, particularly access to local employment and the availability of regional services. Through the implementation of the STENT-IN project, partner universities help their student to gain a deeper understanding of the region as a connected economic and social area. Students will learn how to design and implement viable business models, thereby contributing to long-term and sustainable growth in the region.
For this purpose, the partner universities have established a joint Czech-Bavarian student entrepreneurship incubator. The incubator includes an initial joint academic module, where student teams gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the development of their own business ideas. It also features regular online interaction between student teams in order to share ideas, best practices and provide feedback.
This stage is followed by an individual incubator programme that provides targeted support for the further development and potential implementation of selected projects.
Intensive cooperation between students and academic staff is complemented by a cross-border entrepreneurship competition and visiting lecturers at partner institutions
Methodological materials will also be developed for the STENT-In course Identification and Use of Resources in the Cross-Border Region, along with a Teaching Methods Handbook focused on the effective use of resources in the cross-border region.
The project is implemented under the Interreg Bavaria – Czech Republic cross-border cooperation programme and is co-financed by the European Regional Development fund and the state budget of the Czech Republic.
